CHRIST THE KING 1952

An important feast celebrated in Valletta / Floriana up to a few decades ago was Christ The King. Religious groups of all sorts formed a defilee and carried banners while saying prayers and singing hymns. The procession started deep in Kingsway Valletta and ended at the Statue of Christ in Floriana. Anthony used to look for vantage points around the ruins of the Royal Opera House and Kingsgate for his shots.
